Shattered Legends is a six-part Critical Role and hololive tabletop series coming in mid-November 2026. Matthew Mercer leads the game, with Marisha Ray and four hololive performers playing an adventure in Exandria. The main episodes will be publicly available on YouTube; viewers do not need a paid membership simply to follow the campaign.
COVER announced the collaboration on 13 October 2026. As of 20 October, the official pages specify a release window, not an exact premiere day or weekly broadcast time.
Who is in the Shattered Legends cast?
| Performer | Role |

| Mori Calliope | Kaz Oogod |
| Shiori Novella | Marchen “March” Rosemyne |

The four hololive players are VTubers: performers who appear through virtual avatars. Their established online personas and their tabletop characters are different things—the names in the right-hand column identify their roles in this particular adventure.
Where to watch: public episodes versus paid extras
COVER lists the official YouTube channels of Critical Role, Nerissa Ravencroft and hololive English, alongside Beacon, as destinations for campaign episodes. The YouTube releases will have Japanese subtitles.
Extra material has separate access arrangements. Critical Role’s series page lists Beacon benefits including Cooldown aftershows alongside the six episodes, a Session Zero between episodes one and two, a December Fireside Chat and a January campaign wrap-up. COVER also lists behind-the-scenes content through Nerissa’s YouTube membership. Do not assume the two memberships contain identical extras.
For a viewer who only wants the story, the practical starting point is an official YouTube channel. Membership becomes a separate decision about supplementary content, rather than a prerequisite for watching.
It uses Daggerheart, not Dungeons & Dragons
The familiar Exandria setting does not mean the familiar ruleset. Shattered Legends uses Daggerheart and takes place in the Shattered Teeth. Critical Role describes the story as canon, meaning it belongs to the setting’s official continuity.
For newcomers, that distinction separates two questions: where the story happens and how the players resolve it. Wargamer’s coverage also highlights the Daggerheart-versus-D&D difference. Critical Role links its free Daggerheart starting resources from the series page for viewers who want a rules introduction.
