Unwell University applications are currently closed, according to the interest form linked from the program’s official website, checked on 20 October 2026. Students can leave their details to hear when the next application round opens. That is an expression of interest—not an application for an available place.
The distinction matters because the Unwell University website still labels its link “apply now.” Following that link leads to a form explicitly explaining that applications are closed. No next opening date is stated there.
What is Alex Cooper’s Unwell University?
It is a college creator community within Cooper’s Unwell business, built around social content, mentorship, live events and brand collaborations. The official description says participants represent the Unwell brand through their content and shared experiences. It is a creator program, rather than a university degree.
On 19 October, Tubefilter reported on its latest cohort, naming creators including Kaiden Kilpatrick at the University of Alabama, Sharlize True Trujillo at UCLA, Matty Weisholtz at Syracuse University, Kiki Winchell at Western University in Canada and Julieanna Downes at North Carolina A&T State.
Those examples help explain the program’s focus: campus-based creators with different student experiences, not only established national celebrities. A new cohort announcement, however, does not mean recruitment for the following cohort is already open.
How to register interest safely
Start at the official program page and follow its application link to the Unwell University Creator Interest Form. At the time checked, it asks for:
- Your name, personal email and phone number.
- A college or university email ending in .edu or an equivalent academic domain.
- The institution you attend and your graduation year.
- Your Instagram and TikTok usernames.
The form says Unwell will keep interested students informed when applications reopen. It does not offer immediate admission or publish a selection timetable. It also does not state a minimum follower count. That absence should not be read as a promise that every applicant will qualify when recruitment resumes.
What benefits are advertised—and what is not guaranteed?
Unwell describes access to mentorship, live experiences and brand collaborations, with examples of past activity in New York, Las Vegas and at spring break. These are the program’s advertised opportunities, not a published guarantee that each participant receives every trip or collaboration.
Neither the public program overview nor the linked interest form specifies a standard pay rate, posting quota or contract length. Before accepting an eventual offer, a creator should request written details about compensation, required posts, travel costs, content ownership and permission to reuse their image. These are questions to ask, not claims about Unwell’s terms.
For the separate question of creator-business financing, our SBA content creator guidance explainer distinguishes a business classification from approval for funding. Likewise, a creator program’s visibility should not be confused with guaranteed income.
