Publication details

The Daily Vantage News Desk

The Daily Vantage News Desk is the publication’s collective newsroom byline. It is used when a report is researched, verified, written and reviewed as a shared newsroom production rather than the work of a single named contributor. The desk is responsible for checking material claims, source attribution, article structure, image relevance and licensing information before publication.

When individual reporters or contributors join the publication, their work should carry personal bylines linked to biographies describing their experience, coverage areas and contact information.

Sources and verification

The newsroom prioritises developments with clear public significance. A story should normally be independently reported by at least two credible news organisations, or supported by an authoritative primary source together with reliable independent reporting. Syndicated copies of the same report do not count as separate confirmation.

Coverage is written in original language and should add useful context rather than closely reproducing another publisher’s work. Allegations, estimates and unresolved claims are attributed clearly. Publication is withheld when key facts cannot be verified or when a directly relevant, legally reusable image is unavailable.

Source links are included wherever practical so readers can inspect the evidence behind important claims. Press releases and statements may establish what an organisation said, but they are not treated as independent confirmation of disputed claims.

Source and image policy

Documentary images must relate directly to the people, place, object or event discussed. Older photographs are labelled as file images with their real dates whenever known. Captions identify the creator, source and reuse licence, with links when available.

The publication uses public-domain material or media carrying a licence that permits the intended reuse. It does not copy restricted wire-service photographs, use generic stock imagery as evidence of a specific event, or present invented and AI-generated images as documentary records of real events.

If the licence, creator, date or direct relevance of an image cannot be verified, the image—and if necessary the article—is withheld until a suitable visual can be found.

Automation and editorial responsibility

Automation and artificial intelligence may assist with discovery, research organisation, summarisation, headline alternatives, metadata and routine production. They do not replace verification or editorial responsibility. The Daily Vantage remains accountable for every published article and does not knowingly publish fabricated quotations, sources, images or eyewitness accounts.

Corrections and reader contact

Substantive factual errors are corrected clearly and promptly. Significant updates receive a visible updated time. To request a correction, email contact@thedailyvantage.com with the article URL, the statement you believe is inaccurate and supporting evidence.
