We correct substantive factual errors clearly and promptly. A correction identifies what was wrong and provides the accurate information. Significant updates include a visible update time.
How to request a correction
Email contact@thedailyvantage.com with the article link, the exact passage you believe is inaccurate and reliable supporting evidence. Corrections are evaluated on the evidence, not on whether a person or organization dislikes the coverage.
How we review requests
An editor checks the original sourcing, seeks authoritative records when available and contacts relevant parties if additional context is necessary. We distinguish factual errors from differences of interpretation or opinion. Clear factual mistakes receive a correction; incomplete but accurate passages may receive clarification or additional context.
Correction records
Material corrections remain attached to the article so readers can understand what changed. Routine spelling, formatting or punctuation fixes may be made without a formal note when they do not alter meaning. We do not silently rewrite the substance of published reporting.
Updates and appeals
New developments may be labelled as updates rather than corrections when the original report was accurate at publication. If you disagree with our decision, reply with new evidence and ask for a second editorial review.
