The Daily Vantage

Editorial Policy

The Daily Vantage publishes reporting, explainers and analysis intended to give readers a clear view of important events.

Accuracy and sourcing

Material factual claims should be supported by reliable, attributable sources. We prefer official records, direct statements, primary documents and reporting from established news organizations. Developing stories are updated as credible information becomes available. Anonymous sourcing is used only when the information is important, cannot reasonably be obtained on the record and the source is in a position to know it.

Verification and context

Our verification standard is to compare key claims across independent sources, distinguish confirmed facts from allegations and clearly attribute estimates or disputed accounts. Headlines must reflect the evidence in the article and should not exaggerate uncertainty, conflict or risk merely to attract clicks.

Independence

Advertising and commercial relationships do not determine editorial conclusions. Sponsored material must be clearly labelled. Writers and editors should disclose relevant conflicts that could reasonably affect readers’ understanding of the work.

Images, updates and corrections

Images must be relevant, accurately captioned and used with an appropriate licence or permission. Substantive corrections are explained clearly, while significant developments receive a visible updated time. We do not quietly remove accurate information simply because it is inconvenient.

Accountability

Sabbir Ahmed, the owner and operator, is responsible for published work, including work produced with artificial-intelligence and automation tools. Our AI and Automation Policy explains their use and the review standards that apply. Readers may contact us at contact@thedailyvantage.com and review our Corrections Policy and AI and Automation Policy.
